Sie ist heute ein Museum und zeigt, wie eng die Stadt immer mit der Navy verbunden war. San Diego ist Heimathafen der US-Pazifikflotte, die Navy der drittgrößte Arbeitgeber der Stadt.

The upper deck of the aircraft carrier is as large as three soccer fields. We visit the the “USS Midway” of the US Navy docked at San Diego. Today, she is a museum, showing how close the ties between the city and the navy have always been. San Diego is the home port of the US Pacific fleet, the navy the third-biggest employer of San Diego.
