Montara Lighthouse.
Montara, Pacific Coast Highway. – 40 km südlich von San Francisco steht der Leuchtturm “Point Montara Lighthouse”. Er wurde 1875 in Betrieb genommen und ist heute ein nationales Denkmal. Aus den angrenzenden Gebäuden entstand ein Hostel. Berühmt wurde der Leuchtturm durch den Film “Bandits” (“Banditen”) mit Bruce Willis, Cate Blanchett und Billy Bob Thornton, der 2001 hier gedreht wurde.

Montara, Pacific Coast Highway. – 25 miles south of San Francisco you can find the lighthouse “Point Montara Lighthouse”. It started working in 1875 and is a national monument today. The adjacent buildings became a hostel. The lighthouse became famous by the film “Bandits”, which was shot here in 2011, starring Bruce Willis, Cate Blanchett and Billy Bob Thornton.
