Tucson (Arizona):
Egal, ob andere die Mauer bauen wollen – auf der Rodeo-Parade von Tucscon reiten Amerikaner und Mexikaner zusammen. Große Teile des amerikanischen Südwestens gehörten früher zu Mexiko. Das merkt man, in Arizona ist man zweisprachig. Das Rodeo heißt nicht ohne Grund offiziell “Fiesta de Los Vaqueros”, also “Fest der Cowboys”.

No matter that others want to build the wall – in the Tucson Rodeo Parade, Americans and Mexicans ride together. The Southwest of the USA used to belong to Mexico. Well, it shows, Arizona is bilingual. There’s a reason why the Tucson Rodeo is officially called “Fiesta de Los Vaqueros”, i.e. “Fiesta of the Cowboys”.
